Surbiton Croquet Club Beginners' Coaching, Lesson 6                                                  
Course Revision & Tournament Aim: to revise the course and to finish the course with a small tournament.
Session 1 (15 mins): Golf & Association Croquet Revision                  
Use magnetic board to remind the pupils of Golf Croquet rules etc.
                 
Introduce AC through reference to competition to be played in Session 3.
                 
Then refresh memories of the AC played last week – explain peg out and use of
                 
bisques to create, mend and maintain a break.
Session 2 (15 mins): Association Croquet Practice                  
Explain by coach referring to competition : least bisques in 7 point turn wins.
Session 3 (90 mins): Association Croquet Competition                  
Explain need for all to use half lawn, the other ball is already on peg (arrange clips
                 
appropriately), secondary colours start at hoop 3, and the coaches are available to
                 
answer questions but will not offer advice.
                 
Apply by each player playing 7 point breaks on the lawn and counting how many
                 
bisques they use in total.
                 
Non playing pupils help by keeping bisque count.
                 
One coach should be available for each game.
Session 4: Prize Giving & Wrap Up                  
Winner is th e player using the least bisques.
                 
A tie is resolved by who finishes nearest the peg from corner 1.
